A few years ago now my grandfather pointed out that I sounded very tired and that I seemed unhappy. He advised me to look for a new job and to always work on being happy. Sadly, that advice was to be the last conversation I had with him.
Not long after that advice, while I was on my daily 2 hour commute I discovered an advertisement for telecommuting with OURTEL. My thought was, why not give it a go? A year later and I couldn’t be happier! With no commuting, I am saving money, have plenty of ‘me’ time and I am able to enjoy my beautiful children more.
OURTEL encourage a great team environment, my office may be virtual yet I am always supported by management and fellow agents so I am never alone. Knowing that I am making a difference in helping many outstanding Australian charities, keeps me inspired, passionate and overwhelmingly rewarded in so many ways.

Five years ago I needed to evaluate my work life relationship. Why? Because working my own business became difficult. Coupled with my adult daughter who has an intellectual disability, needing more of my time and attention. What was I going to do, as income and personal satisfaction were still major priorities in my life. Then a friend of mine introduced me to a company who had agents working from virtual offices.
OURTEL has been a godsend as it enables me to work the hours I need each week and still be on standby if my daughter needs me. The work I do is predominantly for Australian charities and I find this always a very rewarding part of the telecommuting work I complete. OURTEL has a great support network which enables communication with management and fellow agents so that I feel part of a team every day. I appreciate the opportunity that OURTEL has provided through telecommuting from my home office.
